Some cities leave memories. Beirut leaves traces.

Molten was born from a desire to transform those traces into matter. Each piece begins with cast aluminum and brass—materials that remember heat, pressure, and time. Rather than concealing the marks of their creation, they preserve them, revealing a surface shaped by transformation.

For me, this collection is more than a series of collectible design pieces. It is a personal dialogue with the city that shaped me. A reflection on resilience, beauty, and permanence. Just as Beirut continues to reinvent itself, these sculptural works embrace imperfection as part of their identity, finding strength through transformation.

Presented at Le Yacht Club Beirut, overlooking the Mediterranean, the exhibition found its natural home. The architecture, the sea, and the changing light became part of the collection itself. As the sun descended over the horizon each evening, the metals responded with warmth and reflection, allowing every sculpture to evolve with the light.

The sunset gathering at Le Yacht Club celebrated more than an exhibition. It brought together collectors, architects, designers, friends, and lovers of art for an evening of conversation, shared moments, and the unveiling of a collection created for Beirut.

This exhibition is, and will always remain, my love letter to Beirut.

In September 2019, Nathalie Gharbi presented her debut collectible design collection, Clé d’Or, at the Beirut Design Fair, held at Seaside Arena, Beirut.

The collection marked the beginning of Nathalie Gharbi Design and introduced a distinctive vision where sculpture and function become one. It was the first expression of a philosophy that continues to shape every collection today: creating timeless, limited edition pieces that exist between art, architecture, and design.

Inspired by the relationship between light and material, Clé d’Or explored the sculptural qualities of polished brass, illuminated onyx, and precisely crafted geometric forms. Each piece was conceived not only as furniture, but as a collectible work of functional art, designed to transform the atmosphere of the spaces it inhabits.

More than a debut collection, Clé d’Or established the foundations of Nathalie Gharbi’s creative language—where light becomes a material in itself, geometry acquires emotion, and craftsmanship elevates everyday function into lasting sculpture.

This first chapter naturally evolved into the Molten Collection, expanding the dialogue between material, light, and permanence through the expressive language of cast aluminum.
